Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Mr Eazi grew up in an environment filled with rhythm and melody. Growing up in a vibrant entrepreneurial family, his parents instilled in him a strong work ethic and creativity. His father, a pilot, would play records during breakfast, exposing him to diverse sounds that shaped his musical quest.

Mr Eazi’s journey took him to Ghana, where he pursued Mechanical Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University. However, it was during his time at KNUST that he discovered his true passion – music. He started recording, experimenting with unique sounds that blended Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions. This fusion, dubbed “Banku music,” has become his signature style.

In 2013, his debut mixtape, “About to Blow,” showcased his talent, but it was hits like “Skin Tight” (feat. Efya) and “Leg Over” that catapulted him to international stardom. “Leg Over,” with its infectious beat and catchy lyrics, became an anthem, solidifying Mr Eazi’s position as a rising star.

Mr Eazi’s subsequent mixtape, “Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1- Accra To Lagos” (2017), further showcased his innovative approach. His music seamlessly blended genres, creating a unique sound that resonated with fans worldwide.

Beyond his musical success, Mr Eazi’s personal life is a reflection of his adventurous spirit. He married Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, in an intimate Venice ceremony.

Now, Mr Eazi is poised to revolutionize highlife music with his upcoming band project. He is inviting fans to suggest a name for the band, marking an exciting new chapter in his musical journey.
