Since co-founding emPawa Africa in 2018 with Afropop superstar Oluwatoyin Ajibade (Mr Eazi), Nwagboso has played an instrumental role in redefining the African music landscape. The duo’s vision to amplify African music on the global stage transformed emPawa into a leading platform for artist development and groundbreaking collaborations. From his base in Toronto, he has championed the careers of countless artists, blending his international perspective with a passion for developing local talent.
One of Nwagboso’s hallmark achievements was co-leading the emPawa 100 initiative, an ambitious talent discovery program that brought rising stars like Joeboy into the limelight. Joeboy, who became the first artist to sign a publishing and distribution deal with emPawa, is an evidence to Nwagboso’s ability to identify and nurture talent with global appeal.
