In July 2021, the Amina Mohammed Skills Acquisition Centre was established in Gombe State, Nigeria, through a partnership between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Office and the Government of Gombe State.

This centre serves as a hub for economic empowerment, providing young people with training in various vocational and technical skills. This initiative recognizes her lifelong dedication to sustainable development and education, equipping youths with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and contribute meaningfully to society.

Climate Action: The Amina Mohammed Centre for Climate Change

Recognizing the urgent need for action on environmental sustainability, Amina Mohammed launched the Amina Mohammed Centre for Climate Change (AMCCC or AM3C) in June 2022. The center is dedicated to climate change mitigation, education, research, and capacity building.

With a focus on promoting innovative solutions to combat climate change, AM3C has become a key institution for fostering climate resilience, sustainable development, and environmental justice. By partnering with academic institutions, policymakers, and private sector stakeholders, the center works toward creating a more sustainable and just future for both people and the planet.
