Uprizn Ikpemi’s Mural art has enabled the talented Nigerian artist, to make a name for himself in the diaspora, blending traditional Nigerian culture with modern art forms. Born on September 11 in Benin City, Edo State, Ikpemi grew up in Lagos, where his passion for art was nurtured. Despite pursuing a career in computer science in University of Benin as well as Ambrose Alli University, his true calling was in the creative arts.

Ikpemi’s artistic journey began with graffiti and mural art, which he discovered online. He honed his skills through self-taught techniques and collaborations with renowned Nigerian musicians like Terry G, Ice Prince, and D’banj. His big break came when he moved to Chicago, where he embraced his true calling as a muralist.

What sets Ikpemi apart is his incorporation of his beloved dogs, Peppo and Risky, into his murals. This signature style has become the symbol of his art, showcasing his creativity and playfulness. His murals are not just visually stunning but also tell a story of his heritage and experiences as a Nigerian in the diaspora.
